Following the recent NICE Technology Appraisal (TA) on the use of Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for weight management, the LMC will be attending ICB-led workshops in late May and early June to help develop and agree a prescribing pathway for Gloucestershire.
While NICE guidance states that these medications should be available from early June, Gloucestershire – like many other areas – will not meet this timeline. The medication is not currently available for weight loss via prescription from GP practices, so please do not contact your surgery to ask for it.
