getUBetter – Musculoskeletal

getUBetter is a digital self-management app that bridges the gap between health and work services, enabling immediate access to local evidence-based recovery guidance as well as local work support for people who need help returning to or staying at work. getUBetter gives people the knowledge, skills, and guidance to self-manage, navigating them back to the system when needed.

What is getUBetter?

Most muscle and joint problems can be treated with proper self-care from start to end, without any specific or specialist treatment.

getUBetter is working in partnership with NHS Somerset to provide safe digital self-management for all common muscle, bone and joint injuries and conditions.

There are eight pathways in the app:

  • Foot pain
  • Neck pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Elbow pain
  • Wrist pain
  • Soft tissue lower limb injury
  • Upper Limb Tendinopathy
  • Lower Limb Tendinopathy

How much does it cost?

getUBetter is free to all Gloucestershire residents aged over 18 registered with Weston House Practice and Hatherley Branch Surgery practice.

How do I access it?

getUBetter has a rating of 4.5 stars on both Apple and Google Play stores and they regularly engage the app users for feedback. Access with touch-to-speak

getUBetter has introduced touch-to-speak (TTS) – a new powerful feature to improve access and serve impactful content to a wider range of patients across Somerset. This means that users will be able to turn any text into audio in the language of their choosing, transforming their digital experience with just a touch of a finger.
